About the Role

Lyrath Estate Hotel, a prestigious 5-star luxury property located just outside Kilkenny City, is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join their culinary team. This position requires a fully flexible and hardworking individual to assist in maintaining the highest hygiene and operational standards within the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the culinary team to uphold HACCP standards consistently.
• Ensure the kitchen environment remains clean and sanitary at all times.
• Operate and keep clean various kitchen cleaning tools and machinery including dishwashers, hand wash stations, and pot-scrubbing areas.
• Thoroughly wash and disinfect kitchen and storeroom areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Understand and adhere to all performance and delivery standards across the Kitchen department.

Candidate Profile

The candidate should be capable of thriving in a busy, demanding setting with the ability to perform under pressure. Strong communication skills and a flexible work approach are essential. Prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided.
