Kitchen Porter

Overview

Avoca Ireland is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join the team at our Kilmacanoge store located in Glencap Commons North, County Wicklow. This is a permanent, full-time position with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly washing all cookware, utensils, and cutlery, ensuring they are clean and ready for use in the next shift.
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen work areas, including floors, shelving, and countertops.
• Organizing and cleaning food storage spaces such as fridges and dry stores, adhering to HACCP standards and regular cleaning schedules.
• Operating dishwashing machinery and handling cleaning chemicals with adherence to proper training and safety guidelines.
• Assisting with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and supporting chefs in setting up the kitchen for upcoming shifts.
• Wearing appropriate attire and maintaining excellent personal hygiene standards consistently.

Requirements

• Strong focus on cleanliness and organizational skills.
• Prior experience in physically demanding work environments is preferred.
• Reliability in punctuality and excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating good communication.
• Availability for full-time work including weekends.
