Role Overview

As a Kitchen Porter at Novotel London Waterloo, you will play a crucial role in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, supporting kitchen operations to ensure a smooth and efficient service. This position involves rigorous cleaning, organizing kitchen equipment, and adhering to health and safety standards to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in kitchen areas following health and hygiene regulations.
• Count, sort, and prepare kitchen equipment as needed for operations.
• Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure all kitchen items including crockery, cutlery, and glassware are sanitized and stored properly.
• Follow scheduled cleaning rosters and perform deep cleanings of floors, walls, ovens, coolers, and equipment.
• Contribute to cost management by conserving energy, water, and cleaning resources.
• Collect and properly dispose of waste from kitchen areas in a hygienic manner each shift.
• Utilize safe methods for removing both dry and wet waste.
