Job Summary
Become a part of The Home Depot team as a Kitchen Designer where you will assist customers in bringing their dream kitchens to life by offering expert advice, providing detailed quotes, and ensuring exceptional service. This position requires a consultative selling approach, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and strive to exceed individual sales targets to contribute to the department's success, including proactive follow-up on quotes to finalize sales.
- Engage with customers seeking kitchen solutions, utilizing the 20/20 design software to create tailored designs, present product options, and prepare accurate quotes.
- Provide knowledgeable support regarding related products in adjacent departments, as well as special orders and installation services, enhancing overall customer experience.
Required Skills and Experience
- Possess 1 to 2 years or more of experience in a sales-driven role, demonstrating the ability to achieve targets.
- Comfortable working a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
- Strong skills in reading, communication, mathematics, and offering outstanding customer service.
- Understanding of construction principles, ability to interpret blueprints and floor plans effectively.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and experience with design software such as 20/20 or AutoCAD is advantageous.
Compensation
The pay range for this role is between $22.35 and $24.35 per hour.
