Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and effective Kitchen and Laundry Technician to support the operations at Rixos Al Mairid, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of kitchen and laundry equipment, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain kitchen and laundry machinery such as dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, and cooking devices.
• Carry out daily sanitation and cleaning activities in the kitchen and laundry areas as per prescribed schedules.
• Track inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of any shortages.
• Help organize and store kitchen utensils, linens, and related materials appropriately.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report any need for maintenance or repairs.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth and timely task completion.
• Comply with health, hygiene, and safety regulations at all times.
• Assist in onboarding and training new staff members regarding equipment use and cleaning protocols.
• Keep thorough records of cleaning operations, equipment service, and inventory management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Capable of handling a variety of kitchen and laundry equipment proficiently.
• Solid understanding of cleaning and sanitizing methods.
• Basic troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge for kitchen and laundry apparatus.
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage time effectively.
• High attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Physical endurance to stand, walk, and lift for prolonged periods.
• Able to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude.
• Food safety certification is an advantage.
• Prior experience in hospitality or healthcare kitchen/laundry operations is beneficial.
• Familiarity with UAE health and safety rules is preferred.
