Role Overview

The Junior Social Content Creator will generate and produce both planned and spontaneous social media content in English, tailored for adaptation across ASEAN markets. Responsibilities range from agile lo-fi production to overseeing shoots and bringing strategic and creative visions to life for the brand and new business pitches. This role emphasizes continuous content creation rather than one-off campaigns to establish a persistent, effective presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and generate engaging, platform-native social content ideas aligned with brand and campaign goals, adaptable across ASEAN markets.
• Stay alert to social media channels to identify real-time trends, viral audio, and cultural events, rapidly transforming them into creative content.
• Manage end-to-end content production including scripting, shooting, directing, and editing lo-fi content focused on TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts, using tools like Premiere Pro, CapCut, and native platform editors.
• Create static and motion graphics using Adobe Creative Suite to support ongoing organic campaigns.
• Attend brand-related events and activations to capture live content, collaborating with talents and fans on-site.
• Work alongside social strategists to develop creator briefs that ensure authentic and high-impact external content creation.
• Leverage WPP's proprietary AI platform, WPP Open, to enhance efficiency, automate routine tasks, and experiment with content scalability and personalization.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Singapore, Australia, and ASEAN markets, reporting to local and regional creative leads.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a hands-on social content creator with skills in self-shooting and editing.
• Robust portfolio showcasing short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Expertise with native creator tools on major platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok.
• Ability to tailor content formats and styles to optimize performance across different social channels and ASEAN markets.
• Experience producing always-on social content rather than campaign-limited projects.
• Keen interest in staying updated with platform changes, algorithm updates, and emerging social trends.
• Enthusiasm for experimenting with innovative formats including episodic series and engagement-driven content.
• Collaborative approach with confidence to contribute ideas during client meetings and internal workshops.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, demonstrated through a portfolio or active social presence.
• Effective independent worker and cooperative team member.
