Junior Full-Stack Developer (PHP Laravel)

About the Role

Axiontis Technology Services is searching for an enthusiastic Junior Full-Stack Developer with proficient PHP Laravel backend skills and frontend abilities to join their expanding development team. The role suits someone with 1 to 5 years of experience who is passionate about web technologies and motivated to grow professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Build responsive user interfaces employing HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
• Support the deployment of new features and application updates across diverse environments including development, testing, and production.
• Carry out functional, regression, and user acceptance testing to assure delivery quality.
• Utilize AI development aids such as ChatGPT and ClaudeAI in the development process.
• Investigate and fix bugs or issues in the applications.
• Assist with third-party integrations and maintain database health and performance including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate closely with designers, business stakeholders, and senior developers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate actively in Agile and Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Keep technical documentation and deployment logs up to date.

Required Skills and Experience

• Solid backend development with PHP and Laravel (version 7 or newer is preferred).
• Strong grasp of MVC architecture and basic API integration concepts.
• Frontend expertise with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, and Bootstrap for creating adaptive designs.
• Database skills with MySQL and PostgreSQL including writing and troubleshooting SQL queries.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket), Composer, and NPM.
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Figma, and Canva for translating wireframes and designs into responsive features.

Additional Valuable Skills

• Knowledge of functional and user acceptance testing, quality control, and change deployment processes.
• Understanding of Agile methodology, Scrum framework, and sprint management.
• Experience or familiarity with Vue.js, React, Linux/Apache environments, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and integrating platforms like Stripe, Zoom, Zoho CRM, Google APIs, or Microsoft technologies is a plus.
