Junior Frontend Developer (React)

Join our Chargeback team and contribute to creating and enhancing the micro-frontend for disputing card transactions. As a Junior Frontend Developer, you will work with React and TypeScript, gain practical experience in component design and testing, and help deliver reliable, compliant user experiences for thousands of banking customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, refine, and maintain features and user flows within the Chargeback micro-frontend.
• Produce functional, stable, and well-tested frontend solutions aligned with approved designs and development standards.
• Work collaboratively with frontend and backend developers, UX designers, product managers, and QA teams to turn concepts into functional applications.
• Integrate APIs alongside backend colleagues and enhance your understanding of API design and the broader system architecture.
• Engage in code reviews and use feedback constructively to elevate your contributions and enrich shared frontend methodologies.
• Acquire deep domain knowledge of Chargeback processes, including customer journeys and third-party interfaces.
• Take full ownership of assigned tasks, proactively solve problems, and seek support from teammates when necessary.
• Continuously improve your frontend expertise and progressively assume more responsibility throughout the software development life cycle.

Desired Qualifications

• Solid fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a clear understanding of the DOM, browser API, and website mechanics.
• Experience or foundational knowledge in React and eagerness to enhance frontend development capabilities.
• A growth-oriented mindset marked by openness to feedback, learning from errors, and applying knowledge to new challenges.
• Strong communication skills including listening carefully, questioning thoughtfully, sharing ideas, and teamwork-oriented problem solving.
• A proactive approach characterized by ownership, accountability, and confidence to request assistance as needed.
• Adaptability and structured problem-solving skills that respond to evolving requirements or constraints.
• Dedication to producing excellent work and learning best practices in testing, version control, and deployment.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, REST APIs, Git, Docker, Redux or RTK Query, Playwright, and Vitest is a plus but not mandatory.
