Job description
Role Overview
We are offering a Junior Estimator position within a well-established Sydney-based head contractor, providing an excellent platform to advance your career alongside a skilled pre-construction team. This opportunity allows hands-on experience throughout the tendering process covering diverse construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support preparation of tenders, perform quantity take-offs and assist in pricing strategies
- Develop trade packages and define scopes of work
- Gather and evaluate subcontractor quotations to support costing accuracy
- Contribute to tender submissions and assist in preparing cost plans
- Manage and nurture relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Collaborate closely with the wider estimating and project departments
Candidate Profile
- Possesses between 1 to 3 years of experience in the construction industry
- Background in estimating, contracts, or similar commercial roles is beneficial
- Experience in head contractor environments is especially valued
- Holds a degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related fields
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail paired with a business-oriented mindset
- Motivated to cultivate a lasting career in construction estimating
