About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Buyer to join our Buying team to help implement commercial strategies aimed at maximizing sales and profitability. This position will involve close collaboration with Buyers and Merchandisers to cultivate strong supplier partnerships, support promotional initiatives, and assist in developing a compelling product offering to customers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build skills, enhance commercial insight, and prepare for a future Buyer position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day supplier relationships, serving as a primary point of contact when appropriate.
- Assist in planning and executing marketing and promotional activities that align with customer needs and business goals.
- Support sales, margin, and profitability targets within assigned fragrance brand categories.
- Utilize data and insights to spot opportunities for sales improvement and performance optimization.
- Help deliver comprehensive commercial plans covering both in-store and digital channels, including new launches and promotions.
- Collaborate closely with Merchandising and other departments to maintain stock health, guide trading decisions, and monitor performance.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrates strong enthusiasm for retail and commercial trading, aiming to progress into a Buyer role.
- Exhibits a team-oriented and customer-focused approach, characterized by curiosity and proactiveness.
- Possesses commercial awareness and interest in honing negotiation and influencing capabilities.
- Exemplifies excellent organizational and prioritization skills, adept at handling multiple tasks efficiently.
- Communicates with clarity and confidence in both written and spoken form.
- Has previous experience or exposure to buying, merchandising, retail, or digital trading sectors, or similar transferable skills.
