Junior Accountant

Role Overview

Legacy Business (Legacy Industries Pvt Ltd.) is an established firm with over 17 years of expertise assisting organizations in India to foster sustainable growth and improve operational efficiency. We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team based in Noida, India.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain daily financial records including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable routines.
• Monitor payment status and balances related to customer/property bookings.
• Create and verify various financial documents such as invoices, receipts, vouchers, and payment records.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations involving customer and vendor accounts.
• Keep project-specific and property-specific accounting ledgers updated.
• Support compliance requirements related to GST, TDS, and statutory obligations.
• Compile monthly reports detailing expenses and revenues.
• Assist senior accountants in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Work closely with sales, purchasing, project, and administrative departments for coordinated operations.
• Ensure adequate documentation to aid audit processes.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
• Track advances, security deposits, and balances with vendors and customers.
• Utilize accounting software tools such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or ERP systems to carry out daily accounting activities.

Candidate Profile

• Educational qualifications: Graduation in Commerce (B.Com) or higher (M.Com, MBA, PGDM).
• Experience: Around 7-12 months in accounting-related roles, including articleship or prior relevant finance roles.
• Solid grasp of fundamental accounting principles and the double-entry bookkeeping methodology.
• Practical skills in Tally ERP for routine accounting tasks.
• Awareness of GST and PF regulations; involvement in regular statutory compliance activities is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Excel for preparing reports, performing reconciliations, and managing financial data.
• Detail-conscious with strong numerical aptitude and strict adherence to processes.
• Effective communication capabilities and a courteous, professional approach towards vendors, peers, and external stakeholders.
• A motivated attitude demonstrating ownership, eagerness to learn, and receptiveness to feedback.
