E-Commerce Accountant

About the Role

Parasavnath Trading Company seeks a meticulous Accountant experienced in handling daily accounting tasks and reconciliation for multiple online marketplaces including Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and Myntra. The role involves detailed bookkeeping, managing GST compliance, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for e-commerce operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile payment and settlement statements received from seller platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and Myntra.
• Monitor order-specific revenue, commission charges, fees, returns, and refund transactions across all marketplaces.
• Maintain daily records of sales, purchase transactions, and various expenses.
• Prepare and submit required GST returns such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, including TCS reconciliations.
• Manage invoicing processes, issue credit notes, and handle vendor-related payments.
• Collaborate with Chartered Accountants or tax consultants for periodic monthly and annual financial filings.
• Maintain cost records associated with inventory and generate fundamental Management Information System (MIS) reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and oversee petty cash transactions.

Candidate Qualifications

• At least one year of accounting experience, preferably within e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, or trading sectors.
• Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, Meesho Supplier Panel, and/or Myntra Partner Portal reports.
• Proficiency in using Busy Accounting Software and spreadsheet tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
• Good understanding of GST, TCS, and tax rules applicable to online businesses.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to concurrently handle multiple marketplace accounts efficiently.
• Preferred educational qualification is a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or a related discipline.

Additional Preferences

• Prior experience with automated marketplace reconciliation tools or scripting solutions.
• Knowledge of transactions via Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal.
