Job description
About the Role
This permanent full-time position is remote-based in Quebec. As a Job Developer at Lifemark Health Group, you will be instrumental in supporting Canadian Armed Forces Veterans and their families through comprehensive rehabilitation services that help transition veterans back into civilian work life. By applying a biopsychosocial approach, the role involves collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to address challenges related to chronic pain, traumatic brain injury symptoms, musculoskeletal and mental health conditions, and other related barriers.
Key Duties
- Establish and nurture partnerships with employers and community organizations to build a broad network of placement opportunities enhancing participant employment outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with Job Development teams across regions to maintain and develop national and multi-regional employer connections.
- Oversee participants' job search processes, offering tailored support and resolving potential obstacles.
- Engage in employer forums to advocate for the hiring of Veterans and promote the value of partnerships with the Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services program.
- Analyze employment market trends to align participant skills and goals with appropriate job vacancies.
- Design and implement improvements for the job development process to optimize participant experience and success.
- Identify innovative methods to enhance participant outcomes and streamline job development practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of a certificate, diploma, or degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or Human Resources.
- At least three years of relevant experience, including jobs in job development, employment counseling, or customized employment services.
- Experience working with individuals facing complex musculoskeletal and mental health challenges that impact workforce integration.
- Proven ability to work effectively with employers and employment resources to facilitate successful job placements.
- Familiarity with the challenges faced by individuals living with physical or mental health conditions affecting civilian life.
- In-depth understanding of the labour market within the assigned geographic area.
- Strong digital skills, proficient in case management systems, MS Office suite, MS Teams, SharePoint, internet research, social media, and LinkedIn.
- Excellent collaborative and relationship-building capabilities to foster trust and engage diverse stakeholders for mutual benefit.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) as needed to support employer and participant interactions.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel as required.
- Bilingualism in French and English is highly advantageous.
- Employment requires obtaining Federal Reliability Status security clearance.
