About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join our team in Singapore. In this position, you will develop and maintain web and mobile applications hosted on containerized platforms. You will collaborate closely with offshore development teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement applications according to provided requirements and technical specifications.
- Engage with offshore teams following Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver quality software.
- Uphold industry best practices related to code quality, testing, continuous integration and deployment, and maintaining application security.
- Develop integrations with messaging platforms, databases, and both web and mobile front-end systems.
- Identify and fix issues related to performance, reliability, and security in the applications.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least three years of professional software development experience.
- Proficient in Java and associated frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, and Quarkus.
- Experienced with containerization and CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Docker or Podman, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Knowledgeable in Oracle database management, SQL, JDBC, RESTful API development, WebSocket, and Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies.
- Experience integrating messaging platforms like Solace and IBM MQ is advantageous but not mandatory.
