Job description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with over 4 years in software design and development, particularly for medical devices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux/Unix based desktop applications using Core Java and will be proficient in UI development with Java Swing, alongside modern web technologies.
Responsibilities and Skills
- Develop software applications and frameworks with a focus on Linux/Unix platforms using Core Java.
- Create graphical user interfaces using Java Swing.
- Develop backend services utilizing Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Implement frontend components using Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and apply them using Java.
- Conduct unit testing with JUnit or corresponding testing tools to ensure code quality.
- Apply software design patterns and UML representations effectively during development.
- Handle database interactions with RDBMS and proficient SQL skills.
- Participate in development conforming to standards related to medical devices, such as CT, XR, MR systems, Common Platform, and the DICOM standard.
- Utilize strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities throughout the development life cycle.
- Communicate effectively and clearly within the team and with other stakeholders.
Desired Additional Expertise
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking protocols and network services including DNS, SMTP, DHCP, FTP, SSH, Telnet, etc.
- Experience with development and collaboration tools such as WinSCP, PuTTY, Rally, ClearQuest, ClearCase, Collaborator, SVN, ALM, and libraries like JDICOM/DVT/DCMTK.
- Able to navigate and comprehend large existing codebases as well as system architecture and design details.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision from team leads or managers.
- Proficient in using MS Office suite - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Eligibility and Education
Applicants should hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization.
