Java Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a proficient Java Developer to join our team in Pune, specialized in backend development utilizing Java and Spring Boot technologies within microservices architecture. The candidate will design, build, and maintain dependable applications and APIs while contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, test, and sustain backend systems using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Create scalable and resilient applications following Microservices design principles.
• Develop RESTful APIs and handle integration with both internal and external APIs and services.
• Produce clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code adhering to best practice standards.
• Work extensively with relational databases including crafting advanced SQL queries involving joins and subqueries.
• Implement data persistence layers using JPA and Hibernate.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot continuous integration and deployment pipelines utilizing Jenkins.
• Manage source code versioning and collaboration through Git.
• Diagnose and resolve application issues through root cause analysis.
• Deploy applications and solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Utilize Redis caching mechanisms to enhance application performance where appropriate.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and DevOps.
• Engage in code reviews to elevate code quality, performance, and scalability.

Required Skills and Experience

• 2 to 3 years of professional software development experience with strong Java programming skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Core Java and Java 8 or higher.
• Proven expertise in Spring Boot framework.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Microservices architecture.
• Experienced in developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Skilled in SQL and working with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL; capable of writing complex queries.
• Practical experience with JPA/Hibernate for ORM and data persistence.
• Familiarity with Jenkins for building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient with Git for version control.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS.
• Knowledge of caching strategies including Redis.
• Strong debugging capabilities and analytical problem-solving skills.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like New Relic.
• Familiarity with API documentation and testing tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Insight into application performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Education and Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or relevant disciplines.
• Relevant hands-on development experience may substitute formal educational qualifications.
