Java Backend Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to join a dynamic development team based in Dublin. This role involves working with Java technologies, event-driven systems, and cloud platforms in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and related technologies.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for integration across platforms.
• Participate in building event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka or equivalent messaging technologies.
• Collaborate in an Agile team to create innovative products incorporating AI, machine learning, and generative AI features.
• Contribute to CICD processes and maintain code quality using Git and automated testing frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over four years of experience in software development focusing on Java, Spring Boot, and REST API design alongside implementation.
• Proficient knowledge of event-driven systems using Kafka or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines using CICD, familiarity with Git version control, and automated testing tools.
• Some experience or familiarity with Kotlin is considered a plus.
• Proven ability to thrive in Agile development settings with exposure to AI and machine learning product integration.
