Java Application Specialist

Job Overview

MindGraph is searching for a seasoned Java and database developer to contribute to a Core Banking initiative. The perfect candidate will have robust practical experience with Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and other NoSQL databases, combined with familiarity in CI/CD workflows and sound software delivery principles. Previous exposure to the banking sector is highly preferred.

Key Duties

• Architect, build, and maintain robust enterprise-level applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and fine-tune database solutions utilizing MongoDB and NoSQL technologies.
• Engage in all stages of application lifecycle including design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality solution delivery.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for streamlined software deployment.
• Investigate and resolve production problems, and optimize application and database performance.
• Adhere strictly to coding standards, security norms, and quality assurance protocols.

Required Expertise

• Extensive experience of 7 to 8 years in Java programming.
• In-depth knowledge of the Spring Boot framework.
• Practical experience managing MongoDB and other NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of continuous integration and delivery processes and DevOps culture.
• Hands-on experience in API development, application integration, and microservices design.
• Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving capability.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with Core Banking systems or projects in the banking or financial services domain.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies for software development.

Additional Information

This position is offered on a contract basis and requires working onsite in Singapore.
