Role Overview

This full-time onsite position is based in Easton, PA, with working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Janitorial Servicer B is entrusted with forklift operation to manage and transport various bailed recyclable materials, handle outbound loading of recycled and hazardous waste, and maintain waste removal and safety inspections at Crayola’s Forks Township Manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous cleaning and disinfection of all Crayola facilities, including high-touch surfaces, café areas, restrooms (showers, sinks, toilets, urinals, counters, mirrors, partitions, vents).
• Handle all material handling tasks related to Crayola’s Janitorial and Recycling Program.
• Track and accurately document refuse, recycling, and hazardous materials adhering to the company’s landfill-free goals and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a safe, accident-free environment when operating Powered Industrial Trucks like forklifts for material transport within the plant and during loading of outbound recycled and hazardous materials.
• Safely operate forklifts to collect full gaylords from manufacturing zones and load them onto trailers.
• Conduct routine inspections of company vehicles, ladders, and eye wash stations.
• Ensure safe pathways and walkways are maintained during adverse weather conditions.
• Comply fully with federal and state hazardous waste regulations including correct handling, storage, labeling, and emergency procedures for spills or leaks.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized following 5S/5M principles and company operating procedures.
• Offer training on recycling and landfill-free programs to employees and engage in team problem-solving initiatives to enhance environmental sustainability.
• Participate actively in team development and continuous improvement efforts by attending meetings and contributing ideas.
• Learn diverse duties within the team and accept guidance from the Janitorial and Recycling Manager, promoting continuous growth and collaboration.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Between 1 and 2 years’ experience in manufacturing or warehouse settings.
• Physically capable of performing job duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders as needed.
• Ability to successfully complete Crayola’s Forklift Training Program.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to follow instructions and finish assignments with limited supervision.
• Completion of company-mandated Bloodborne Pathogen training.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.

Physical Demands

This job requires frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing. Handling of tools, objects, and controls is common, along with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and ladder climbing.
