Job Summary

We are seeking experienced janitors for both full-time and part-time roles to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of school buildings within the Fountain Lake School District, located in Hot Springs National Park, AR. The Janitor will perform intensive cleaning activities including floor maintenance, carpet shampooing, wall and glass washing, and trash disposal to create a safe and hygienic environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved protocols and infection control guidelines.
• Perform dusting and damp mopping of floors using proper procedures.
• Relocate equipment and furniture to clean thoroughly, returning items to their original position.
• Clean designated areas utilizing assigned tools and materials, sanitizing all surfaces according to an eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, and baseboards to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Proactively identify and complete areas needing additional cleaning.
• Execute assigned tasks promptly as directed by supervisors.
• Adhere to federal, state, and county regulations while performing duties.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors and shampoo carpets.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating professionalism with customers, colleagues, and others.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of prior custodial or janitorial experience.

Work Schedule and Location

• Positions available on both full-time and part-time bases with flexible schedules to accommodate most availability needs.
• Typical working hours are from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, but days may vary and will be discussed during the interview process.
• Main location is Fountain Lake School District at 4207 Park Avenue, Hot Springs National Park, AR 71901, with openings at other district locations.

• Hourly pay rate fixed at $13.25.
