Job Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced IT Infrastructure Designer for our Riyadh, Saudi Arabia location. The role involves designing, planning, and executing comprehensive IT infrastructure systems that specifically support airport operations. The ideal candidate will showcase strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to ensure that all infrastructure components are stable, scalable, and compliant with aviation industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate ICT design deliverables across various project phases, including concept and detailed designs, issued for construction documents, and shop drawings.
• Review and coordinate ICT and ELV documentation, such as design specifications, schedules, reports, and technical materials.
• Ensure precise design and coordination of telecom and data rooms, cable containment, riser layouts, equipment placement, and related power, cooling, and spatial necessities.
• Assess ICT/ELV systems including structured cabling, fiber and data networks, Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, fire and intruder alarms, PA/VA systems, IP telephony, intercom, audiovisual systems, digital signage, and associated ELV technologies.
• Collaborate with architecture, MEP, structural, security, and operations teams to align ICT requirements.
• Detect and resolve design conflicts, interface issues, and gaps by recommending technical solutions.
• Assist in tender assessment, technical evaluations, value engineering exercises, and clarifications of design aspects.
• Analyze testing results, commissioning reports, operation and maintenance manuals, warranty details, training documentation, and asset registers.
• Produce technical reports, contribute inputs for meetings, and maintain coordination records.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• At least 10 years of practical experience designing and coordinating ICT and ELV systems.
• Demonstrated involvement across all project phases: conceptualization, detailed design, IFC, shop drawings, as-built documentation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Prior experience with aviation-related infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of ICT/ELV systems, relevant international standards, and project documentation practices.
• Competence in system integration, multidisciplinary coordination, and understanding construction-stage demands.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting capabilities.
• Familiarity with Data Center design concepts and understanding of Data Center Tier classifications.
• Experience with physical security technologies such as CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and security control rooms.
• Knowledgeable in cybersecurity principles, network segmentation, IT/OT separation, and securing ICT infrastructure.
• Experience with airport systems, smart building technologies, and complex infrastructure projects is advantageous.
