Overview
The role of IT Delivery Manager involves leading and coordinating multiple IT projects concurrently within a dynamic and autonomous delivery environment. The position requires ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment among business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and partners while maintaining clear insight into delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple simultaneous IT projects from inception through delivery and handover phases.
- Monitor project milestones, deliverables, related dependencies, risks, and obstacles.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between internal IT teams, business units, vendors, and external delivery partners.
- Promptly escalate and resolve any issues hindering delivery progress.
- Consolidate project updates into comprehensive status reports for management review.
- Assist in resource allocation and prioritization across ongoing initiatives.
- Ensure business requirements are properly translated into technical solutions and outcomes.
- Supervise vendor performance, ensuring commitments and deliverables meet expectations.
- Support adherence to project governance, change control, and established delivery methodologies.
- Steer projects to achieve targeted scope, timeline, quality, and budget objectives.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Over five years of professional experience delivering IT projects and programs, including managing multiple concurrent efforts.
- Demonstrated capability in handling complex enterprise IT environments.
- Preferred background in the insurance sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of application development, enterprise applications, systems integration, business intelligence, databases, and infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience managing both internal teams and external technology vendors.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across business, IT, and executive levels.
- Hands-on experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management approaches.
- Strong communication, risk management, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
