About the Role
Based in Letterkenny with a hybrid work setup requiring 2-3 days onsite weekly, this position focuses on managing complex IT asset environments with discipline and strong ownership. The role supports enterprise IT Asset Management by enhancing compliance, lifecycle control, and risk mitigation for technology hardware and software.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage IT asset lifecycle processes from procurement to decommissioning collaboratively with asset owners.
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate and enterprise-aligned asset databases.
- Assist in software license compliance, handling renewals, audits, and optimizing license use.
- Work with asset custodians to identify and manage lifecycle risks such as End-of-Life or End-of-Support scenarios.
- Address and resolve issues relating to asset data accuracy and reliability.
- Oversee hardware asset governance including secure disposal protocols.
- Implement ITAM governance controls and provide necessary audit and compliance documentation.
- Create and manage reports related to asset status, compliance, lifecycle health, and risk remediation.
- Drive continuous refinements to ITAM workflows, tools, and standard procedures.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in IT Asset Management or Software Asset Management within technology operations.
- Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management, software licensing requirements, compliance standards, and data quality principles.
- Familiarity with ITAM platforms or asset repository tools.
- Effective analytical skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously, prioritize tasks, and execute with consistency.
- Excellent communication skills to clarify complex issues and influence cross-functional teams.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working with ServiceNow IT asset management modules.
- Professional certifications such as ITIL, IAITAM or similar.
- Background in audit, risk management, compliance, or asset reporting.
- Experience in financial services or large-scale enterprise technology environments.
