iOS Engineer (Qatari Nationals Only)

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate new features within cross-functional product teams.
• Participate actively in backlog planning and technical discussions to shape projects.
• Collaborate within a Scrum-like agile environment, incorporating feedback from team members.
• Use English fluently for daily communication within the team.
• Contribute meaningfully to product development and own deliverables.

About the Project and Technology Stack

• Current app version was rebuilt from scratch starting Q3 2021 using a modern tech stack.
• Entirely coded in Swift, targeting iOS 14 as minimum supported version.
• Utilizes a multi-module architecture managed by Tuist.
• Exploring Swift UI for UI implementation improvements.
• Development process follows trunk-based development methodology.
• Open to experimenting with new technologies such as Kotlin multiplatform mobile.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least five years of professional experience in native iOS development using Swift and Objective-C.
• Strong grasp of Swift and Objective-C fundamentals, including standard data structures, concurrency, and memory management.
• Proficient in crafting pixel-perfect, custom UI views.
• Solid understanding of Clean Architecture principles.
• Familiarity with HTTP protocol operation.
• Experienced with version control systems, specifically Git.
• Knowledgeable about object-oriented design patterns.
• Intermediate English proficiency sufficient to comprehend technical documentation and communicate work experience without the aid of a dictionary.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience writing unit tests to ensure code quality.
• Familiarity with trunk-based development workflows.
• Knowledge of VIPER architectural pattern.
• Hands-on experience with networking libraries such as Moya and Alamofire.
• Experience setting up and maintaining continuous integration (CI) pipelines.
• Exposure to Kotlin multiplatform and Compose multiplatform technologies.
