Investigator

Position Overview

We seek a clear and composed communicator with strong problem-solving skills to join our collaborative operations team as an Investigator on a fixed-term 12-month contract. This role involves managing an independent caseload of about five new customer feedback or complex inquiry cases weekly.

Key Responsibilities

• Effectively self-manage your caseload by reviewing previous case interactions and directly connecting with involved parties to gather additional insights.
• Navigate complex and uncertain situations by applying independent judgment to resolve issues thoroughly.
• Provide impartial guidance communicated clearly in plain English through formal written decisions and detailed case summaries.
• Employ active listening, thoughtful questioning, and conciliatory methods to defuse tense conversations and convey difficult messages empathetically and objectively.

Candidate Profile

• Strong analytical skills and exceptional written communication ability to interpret detailed information and prepare clear formal reports.
• Resilience and objectivity to handle high-stakes, conflict-heavy dialogues calmly and fairly.
• Experience in community law, regulatory roles, mediation, or investigations is highly valued and suited to this position.
