Job description

About the Role

Our retail organization is a distinguished luxury home textile and lifestyle brand managing 8 stores across Nigeria, supported by thriving e-commerce and wholesale operations. To accommodate our growth and extensive SKU assortment, we are seeking a seasoned Inventory Manager with excellent analytical capabilities.

Reporting directly to the executive leadership at the Group level, the selected candidate will have full accountability for inventory oversight, store replenishment, stock precision, and ERP data accuracy. The goal is to eradicate stock inconsistencies, minimize shrinkage, optimize reorder timings, and guarantee efficient stock supply across all retail outlets nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage stock allocation across all 8 stores to prevent shortages and overstock scenarios.
  • Coordinate and implement inter-store transfers and logistics between central warehouse and retail locations.
  • Define and maintain appropriate safety stock amounts, reorder points, and lead-time schedules for both core and seasonal SKUs.
  • Enforce cyclic counting procedures, conduct random audits, and perform periodic physical inventory inspections nationwide.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory variances, damages, and shrinkage while applying preventive controls.
  • Ensure near-perfect inventory accuracy between physical counts and ERP records at each store.
  • Act as the expert and functional administrator of the Odoo ERP inventory module.
  • Handle complex configurations in Odoo including multi-warehouse setups, SKU entries, barcode tagging, stock corrections, and serial/lot monitoring.
  • Audit point-of-sale system integration across stores to uphold real-time stock synchronization.
  • Produce and analyze weekly and monthly reports on inventory valuation, turnover, slow-moving and obsolete goods, and discrepancies.
  • Interpret sales trends per store to align inventory decisions with demand patterns.
  • Work closely with procurement and finance teams on stock reconciliations, cost of goods tracking, and supplier lead time management.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in inventory management within multi-store retail, FMCG, or luxury retail sectors.
  • Hands-on mastery of Odoo ERP inventory modules for multi-warehouse environments is essential.
  • Experience managing inventory logistics across at least 5 retail locations in Nigeria.
  • Expertise in handling large, diverse SKU catalogs with stringent barcode and tagging standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and data modeling for detailed inventory analysis.

Work Location & Terms

  • Location: Group Head Office in Lekki, Lagos with required visits to retail stores.
  • Employment Type: Full-time position.
