Job Overview

This position involves the meticulous oversight of stock management, documentation, and movement of materials at the company's plant and warehouse locations in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The Inventory Controller will also aid in the current ERPNext system integration to ensure precise and updated inventory records.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise inventory levels of raw materials, packaging items, and finished goods in storehouses and warehouses.
• Authenticate and update receiving reports (GRNs), issue slips, production slips, dispatch documents, and other related inventory paperwork.
• Input inventory data accurately and punctually into ERPNext or Excel systems.
• Conduct physical stock counts, resolve discrepancies through reconciliation, and report findings.
• Monitor reorder points, manage stocks nearing expiry, identify slow-moving products, and assess wastage.
• Ensure all transfers and movements of materials are properly documented, authorized, and recorded.
• Maintain comprehensive records of batches, manufacturing, and expiry dates to ensure traceability and comply with food safety standards.
• Generate daily inventory summaries and highlight exceptions for management review.
• Work collaboratively with departments like Purchase, Production, Stores, and the ERPNext implementation team to ensure data accuracy.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Graduate degree required; Bachelor of Commerce is preferred.
• 1 to 4 years of relevant experience, ideally in FMCG, food manufacturing, or related manufacturing sectors.
• Experience with physical stock verification and inventory reconciliation is advantageous.

Essential Skills

• Strong understanding of inventory, stores, and warehouse management practices.
• Familiarity with inventory methods such as FIFO and FEFO, batch tracking, and stock reconciliation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably ERPNext, but familiarity with Tally, SAP, BUSY, or equivalents is beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and documentation integrity.
• Strong communication, coordination, and proactive follow-up abilities.
• Integrity, discipline, and comfort working within a plant or warehouse environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to ERPNext and related systems.
