About the Company and Role
IIQAF Group, located in Ontario, Canada, operates in the hospitality sector. They are looking to hire a meticulous and well-organized Inventory Clerk to oversee inventory control, stock management, and warehouse functions related to food, beverages, supplies, equipment, and other operational materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep precise and current records of all hospitality-related inventory including food, beverages, and equipment.
- Handle receipt of deliveries by verifying them against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Inspect incoming items for quantity accuracy, quality standards, damage, packaging integrity, and any discrepancies.
- Log received inventory accurately in the management systems used for inventory and warehouse.
- Update inventory data daily, tracking stock movements and transactions.
- Monitor inventory levels to recognize when stock is low, excessive, or needs replenishing.
- Carry out periodic physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock audits.
- Match physical inventory against system records and investigate any inconsistencies found.
- Assist in proper storage and handling procedures for food, beverages, hospitality supplies, and operational materials.
- Prepare and manage stock requisitions and internal inventory requests promptly.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of high school or equivalent; additional diploma or certificate in Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, or Business Administration is preferred.
- Between one and two years experience in inventory control, stock management, warehouse operation, material handling, or receiving roles.
- Previous work as Inventory Clerk, Inventory Assistant, Stock Clerk, Warehouse Clerk, Store Clerk, or in inventory control is advantageous.
- Experience within industries such as hospitality, hotels, restaurants, catering, food service, retail, or distribution is beneficial.
- Solid understanding of inventory and stock control processes.
- Experience conducting physical and cycle inventory counts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in work outputs.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a warehouse, procurement, or hospitality operations setting.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment managing multiple inventory-related tasks.
