Role Overview

The Internal Account Manager is a full-time position located onsite in Auckland, responsible for managing and expanding relationships with both existing and prospective customers. This role encompasses daily account management activities such as order processing, quotation preparation, coordination of artwork and specifications, and maintaining precise, timely communication between customers and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day account operations, including order handling and quotation preparation.
  • Coordinate artwork and specifications ensuring correctness and compliance.
  • Act as liaison between customers and internal teams including production, logistics, and sales to monitor job progress and resolve any issues.
  • Promote upselling and cross-selling opportunities to expand label solutions usage.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date customer records along with preparing necessary reports and sales forecasts.
  • Address customer inquiries and manage complaints effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving service quality and customer experience.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in customer relationship management and account coordination; experienced in handling orders, quotations, and communication with clients.
  • Strong organizational and administrative capabilities to juggle multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Good commercial awareness and sales acumen, capable of identifying business growth opportunities and assisting with pricing strategies alongside the Sales Manager.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with customers and internal cross-functional teams in production, logistics, and quality.
  • Proficient in office productivity software such as Microsoft Office and capable of quickly adapting to ERP/CRM systems.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills, particularly in managing product specifications, artwork approvals, and resolving order inconsistencies.
  • Previous experience in packaging, labels, manufacturing, or adjacent industries is preferred.
  • Relevant educational background or experience in business, administration, customer service, or related fields is essential.
