We are seeking a motivated and personable Intermediate Accountant to join our Brisbane office team. This position is ideal for an early-career professional eager to enhance their technical expertise and client engagement skills within a supportive and modern work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements and income tax returns for diverse clients
- Compile BAS, IAS, and management reports utilizing cloud-based accounting platforms including Xero and QuickBooks
- Support senior team members on client projects and advisory services
- Respond to general accounting and tax compliance requests from clients
- Contribute to tax planning and business advisory activities
- Ensure working papers are precise and well-structured
- Provide assistance to the broader team and handle additional tasks as necessary
Candidate Profile
- Degree-qualified in accounting or nearing completion
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in a public practice accounting environment
- Commenced or currently pursuing CA or CPA certification
- Fundamental knowledge of Australian accounting principles and tax compliance
- Familiarity with cloud accounting software, preferably Xero
- Strong attention to detail paired with excellent organizational capabilities
- Quick learner capable of rapidly adapting to new systems and concepts
- Intermediate technical accounting skills with an ambition for continual growth
- Effective communication skills along with readiness to engage in client interactions
- Positive and proactive mindset dedicated to career growth
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting

Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
