Interior Project Supervisor

Overview

We seek a qualified and proactive Interior Project Supervisor to oversee the daily execution of interior projects. The role involves managing site operations, coordinating labor and materials, enforcing quality control, precise measurements, billing assistance, and ensuring projects align with approved designs and timelines.

Primary Duties

• Supervise daily on-site interior project activities, including carpentry, modular furniture installation, electrical work, painting, false ceilings, civil work, and plumbing.
• Ensure all work strictly adheres to approved drawings, designs, and specifications, maintaining high standards of workmanship, finish quality, and dimensional precision.
• Coordinate among various trades to facilitate seamless workflows and avoid conflicts on site.
• Accurately measure site work for execution and billing purposes and maintain detailed daily labor and work records.
• Verify the quantities of contractor and vendor work and support the Project Manager and Accounts team in reviewing bills.
• Manage and organize teams of carpenters, electricians, painters, civil workers, helpers, and other site personnel by assigning tasks according to project schedules and priorities.
• Monitor labor productivity, attendance, discipline, safety, and site housekeeping standards.
• Anticipate manpower needs and liaise with the office team.
• Prepare and communicate daily and weekly material requirements, verify stock against BOQ and drawings, raise material requests, and coordinate logistics with the office, factory, and stores.
• Receive materials, conduct thorough verification for quantity, quality, and specification compliance, maintain inventory records, and report any shortages or discrepancies immediately.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, designers, project managers, vendors, and contractors to relay site needs, updates, and obtain approvals essential for uninterrupted execution.
• Identify and address site issues promptly, escalating significant technical, cost, or scheduling concerns as necessary.
• Submit daily progress reports enriched with photographic/video evidence, share upcoming work schedules and manpower plans, and keep comprehensive records of all activities while monitoring project timelines to preempt delays.
• Conduct quality inspections at various execution stages, ensure protection of completed work and materials, uphold safety practices, and manage cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Identify defects, ensuring correction before proceeding to further stages.

Qualifications and Skills

• 2 to 5 years of experience in interior execution for residential or commercial projects.
• Sound expertise in interior project execution and interpreting site drawings.
• Well-versed in carpentry, modular furniture, electrical, painting, civil, and related interior commercial construction tasks.
• Proficient with site measurement techniques, quantity verification, and contractor/vendor billing processes.
• Good understanding of material handling, BOQ, and site requirements.
• Strong skills in managing labor and subcontractors.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Competent in reading and understanding 2D drawings and interior detailing.
• Good problem-solving aptitude and sound decision-making capabilities.
• Capability to juggle multiple activities and priorities effectively.
• Willingness to travel to various project locations as needed.
