Interior Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer specializing in site and project coordination to manage comprehensive aspects of interior projects in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will oversee site assessments, design execution, client and contractor coordination, and ensure adherence to quality and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough site inspections, measurements, and evaluations.
• Develop and review 2D layouts, working drawings, and 3D design models.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities, material specifications, and cost estimations.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements, manage design preferences, and handle approvals.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project delivery.
• Oversee daily site activities ensuring progress aligns with approved plans and specifications.
• Verify contractor compliance with designs, drawings, BOQ, and maintain quality standards.
• Manage coordination of civil, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, flooring, painting, furniture, and other interior-related works.
• Validate site measurements and cross-check quantities executed by contractors.
• Communicate material needs, work schedules, and execution priorities effectively.
• Collaborate with vendors for selection, quotations, delivery, and installation of materials.
• Identify and resolve site-related challenges, design inconsistencies, and execution hurdles promptly.
• Maintain consistent communication among clients, designers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Monitor workmanship quality, timeline adherence, and material usage on site.
• Review contractor invoices and measurements against BOQ and actual site activities.
• Prepare comprehensive reports including site progress, measurements, and project updates.
• Ensure all site design revisions are current and properly documented.
• Conduct frequent site inspections with thorough documentation and record-keeping.
• Support material selection processes including finishes, color themes, furniture, fixtures, and accessories.
• Maintain project timelines, budgets, and quality to guarantee successful completion.
• Supervise snagging, rectifications, and final project handover.
