Integration Developer

Job Purpose

The position involves analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration applications intended for internal company use as well as client projects. It focuses on ensuring dependable data integration and transformation across various business software systems.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Information Technology or a closely related discipline. Essential skills include proficiency in coding and debugging within multiple programming languages, expertise in data integration and transformation processes, as well as database connectivity, configuration, and performance tuning. The role also demands strong problem-solving capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to consistently meet project deadlines.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role.
• At least one year of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Proven track record in designing database schemas and creating efficient stored procedures, views, and functions in SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Competence in transforming XML and flat files including CSV, Fixed-Width, and EDI formats.
• Understanding of Web Services principles, protocols, and security standards.
• Knowledge of Java Groovy is considered beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop robust, tested, and high-quality software solutions within agreed timelines.
• Create and maintain documentation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for both new and existing applications.
• Support and maintain all current applications to ensure continuous operation.
• Optimize database queries by implementing best execution plans.
• Conduct unit testing and resolve identified defects.
• Deliver training sessions to end-users as needed.
• Diagnose and solve intricate technical issues.
• Carry out other reasonable duties aligned with the role’s overall function.
