About the Role
The Insurance Administrator will oversee and manage vehicle insurance matters within the Aftersales department, focusing on facilitating claim processes to enable timely vehicle repairs and delivery.
Key Duties
- Handle insurance claims tied to vehicle accidents, repairs, and other insured damages.
- Communicate with customers to gather necessary information and documents for claims.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, representatives, surveyors, and third-party providers.
- Ensure claims are registered correctly with all proper documentation submitted promptly.
- Arrange vehicle inspections and surveyor visits related to accident damage.
- Follow up on claim approvals, repair authorizations, and settlement updates from insurers.
- Collaborate with Service Advisors, Workshop, Parts, and Body Shop personnel to streamline claims and repair workflows.
- Maintain comprehensive files and records for insurance claims, including approvals and estimates.
- Verify insurance approvals against repair estimates and resolve any inconsistencies before work begins.
- Track pending approvals, additional repair needs, supplementary estimates, and claim settlement progress.
- Keep customers informed professionally and promptly about claim and repair statuses.
- Assist in preparing repair cost estimates and submitting them for insurer approval.
- Ensure accuracy and proper submission of insurance-related invoices and documentation.
- Monitor and prevent delays in delivery caused by outstanding claims through proactive coordination.
- Keep detailed records of claim statuses, payments, approvals, and unresolved issues.
- Work with Finance/Accounts to handle insurance payments, deductibles, and balances as needed.
- Ensure all insurance procedures align with company policies and insurance regulations.
- Address customer concerns related to insurance claims, escalating complex cases appropriately.
- Generate regular reports summarizing claims, approvals, completions, and outstanding amounts.
