About the Role
KBR, Inc. seeks a dedicated Instrument Technician I to ensure reliable operation of instrument assets supporting process units in the oil and gas sector. This role requires leadership in supervising maintenance teams and executing preventive and corrective tasks efficiently and safely, aligned with industry standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate maintenance technicians, ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance schedules and prompt resolution of breakdowns on instrument systems and equipment.
- Oversee execution of monthly and weekly maintenance plans, regularly controlling and reporting progress.
- Perform onsite maintenance and repair on various Instruments, including generators, transformers, and motors, adhering to safety protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and contractual terms.
- Serve as the focal point for daily instrument maintenance activities across plant equipment and facilities within the designated area.
- Conduct site inspections to verify proper work execution and supervise technicians during routine maintenance tasks.
- Track maintenance progress, generate regular reports for the Instrument foreman including observations and recommendations, and maintain records of work completion in line with planned programs.
- Support implementation of engineering modifications to improve instrument equipment reliability and serviceability.
- Exhibit proactive safety mindset and behavior consistently on site.
- Apply strong expertise in mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems maintenance and repairs.
- Uphold adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, procedures, and regulations during all activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, demonstrating proficiency in spoken and written English.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in maintenance within the oil and gas industry.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge in maintenance management of oil and gas facilities.
- Strong organizational and proactive approach with excellent communication capabilities.
- Proven leadership experience managing large teams.
- Sound judgment under pressure with problem-solving aptitude.
- Strategic management competence.
- Ability to deliver results in culturally diverse environments.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally and reside in Saudi Arabia.
