Job Overview

The Instrument Maintenance Controller is responsible for overseeing and directing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance operations relating to instrumentation and measurement devices. The role ensures that all equipment functions accurately, reliably, and is ready for operation in compliance with established maintenance procedures and schedules.

Primary Duties

  • Lead maintenance activities covering preventive, corrective, and emergency work for instrumentation systems.
  • Manage upkeep and calibration of weighing devices, gas analyzers, and other equipment used for measuring gas and oil consumption.
  • Verify and adjust measuring instruments to maintain accuracy and dependability.
  • Assess maintenance requests and confirm availability of necessary spare components, tools, and materials.
  • Oversee proper usage and management of spare parts, including handling replaced and excess items appropriately.
  • Carry out routine inspections to confirm equipment safety, cleanliness, and operational condition.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance tasks and generate technical reports with findings and suggestions.
  • Contribute to the annual evaluation and planning of spare parts inventory needs.
  • Interpret and analyze engineering drawings and technical schematics to support maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Between two to four years of practical experience in instrumentation maintenance or a comparable field.
  • Sound knowledge of maintenance procedures, calibration methodology, measurement techniques, and analytical equipment use.
  • Competency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Proficient computer skills with experience using relevant maintenance software tools.
