Role Overview
We are hiring permanent full-time Instructor/Facilitators for our Day/Local Services in County Kildare. This role involves a 35-hour workweek, with hourly pay aligned to the HSE salary scale ranging from 220.66 to 294.94, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting Assessments of Need and contribute to the development, execution, and review of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) tailored to each person.
- Empower individuals to improve their lives by helping achieve their goals and ensuring access to appropriate healthcare.
- Provide support with medication administration, personal care, and intimate care following Kare's guidelines.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in Kare's Advocacy framework.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with families, teams, and other relevant parties.
- Ensure accurate financial record-keeping for individuals and service units per company policies.
- Uphold professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
- Operate Kare vehicles to support service users as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum QQI Level 5 qualification in Intellectual Disability Practice, Social Care, or Community Support Work.
- Possession of a full, clean manual Irish driving license is mandatory.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland without requiring sponsorship.
- Solid knowledge of Person Centred Planning, Advocacy, Safeguarding, and Risk Management.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing Individual Support Plans.
- Comfortable and experienced working with individuals who may display challenging behaviors.
- Capability to work independently with persons with intellectual disabilities.
- Strong abilities to develop trusting, respectful relationships.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, organizational, and initiative skills.
- Proficient IT skills to manage administrative tasks including email correspondence, report preparation, and use of assistive technologies.

Additional Information
