Job Overview

We are seeking a Computer Science Instructor to join our academic team at Al Ain University located in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi Emirate. The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited institution and bring at least two years of professional teaching experience. This role involves preparing and delivering well-organized lectures, fostering an engaging learning atmosphere, participating in curricular assessment and quality assurance, and providing effective student support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver structured lectures tailored to the students' abilities and course syllabus.
• Create an educational environment that encourages student participation and effective learning.
• Review and enhance courses and programs, contributing to assessment, quality assurance, and quality improvement efforts.
• Innovate teaching and learning methodologies as needed.
• Assess coursework and examinations promptly and provide constructive feedback.
• Offer guidance and support to students, addressing concerns or directing them to specialized resources.
• Engage in leading or supporting major projects or initiatives to enhance program, faculty, or College performance and accreditation.
• Collaborate with students and colleagues to ensure an optimal educational experience.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the program director and Dean.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum of two years of experience in teaching within a professional setting.
• Proficient with various programming languages including but not limited to Java, Python, R, PHP, and Oracle SQL.
• Skilled in designing and programming websites and web applications.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of interacting across organizational levels.
• Ability to thrive in multicultural team environments.
