Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a proficient and solution-focused Software Engineer to engage in the design, development, testing, maintenance, and enhancement of software applications and technology solutions. This position involves active participation across the entire software development lifecycle to deliver dependable, scalable, secure, and user-centric systems that align with business and technical goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, analysts, QA professionals, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and transform them into effective software solutions.
• Analyze both functional and technical specifications to design software components.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while crafting new features and refining existing applications.
• Integrate systems and services based on project needs, potentially developing web and mobile applications, backend services, APIs, databases, cloud-based platforms, or enterprise systems.
• Embrace modern software development methodologies and adapt to diverse technologies as required.
• Ensure high software quality by writing and maintaining unit tests, debugging, performing code reviews, and collaborating with QA teams to identify and resolve defects.
• Support troubleshooting of production issues and implement appropriate technical corrections.
• Engage in code review sessions, technical discussions, architecture planning, and development meetings.
• Document code, system functionality, technical decisions, and implementation details to promote maintainability and collaboration.
• Work with databases, APIs, third-party integrations, version control, CI/CD pipelines, cloud services, monitoring tools, and development environments.
• Maintain a focus on security, scalability, performance, and reliability throughout software development.
• Identify technical risks, enhance application performance, address vulnerabilities, and contribute to ongoing improvements in development standards and engineering practices.
• Stay updated with relevant technologies, frameworks, development methodologies, and industry trends to maintain a strong engineering approach and solve complex technical challenges.

Qualification Requirements

• Preferably hold a degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Solid grasp of software development fundamentals and programming concepts.
• Competency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, Go, or equivalents.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
• Exposure to web development, backend systems, APIs, databases, or application software development.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases is advantageous.
• Understanding of software testing, debugging, and QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• Insight into REST APIs, web services, system integrations, and authentication methods.
• Experience or knowledge of cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Awareness of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps approaches, containers, or automated deployment is beneficial.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and contribute to technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving aptitude, and keen attention to detail.
• Capacity to troubleshoot issues and devise practical solutions.
• Ability to participate actively in code reviews and technical conversations.
• Knowledge of application security, performance optimization, scalability, and reliability concepts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities with the ability to work alongside technical and non-technical personnel.
• Organized, adaptable, proactive, and able to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Relevant certifications or additional technical training are encouraged.
