Role Overview

The Instructional Specialist is a full-time, on-site position located in Accra. This role is central to the creation and continual improvement of curricula and learning resources that support Enlace’s mentorship, scholarship, and educational tour offerings. The specialist collaborates closely with program personnel and mentors to structure effective learning paths, provide training, and uphold high instructional standards throughout all student interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting needs assessments to determine educational requirements.
• Developing lesson plans and educational materials aligned with program objectives.
• Coaching and mentoring educators, facilitators, and mentors on best instructional strategies.
• Monitoring the progress and outcomes of learners to ensure achievement of learning goals.
• Collecting and analyzing feedback to evaluate program efficacy.
• Recommending and implementing improvements to optimize the quality and inclusivity of learning experiences.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong foundation in education and training, supporting diverse populations of learners effectively.
• Expertise in curriculum development and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, or facilitating groups including educators and students.
• Familiarity with learner-centered teaching methods, assessment techniques, and inclusive practices.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Studies, or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail and multi-project management capabilities.
• Willingness and ability to work onsite in Accra and collaborate with families, students, and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
