Job Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Inspector specializing in lifting operations with substantial expertise in industrial inspections and adherence to international standards. The role involves delivering expert training sessions, overseeing trainee progress, supporting inspection duties, and aiding growth initiatives within the business.
This opportunity is tailored for individuals who combine trainer capabilities with extensive hands-on inspection and industry practice.
Minimum Education
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
- Other equivalent and recognized qualifications
Experience and Expertise
- 10 to 12 years of professional involvement in lifting, construction, elevator inspection, and training domains
- Comprehensive understanding of international standards and codes relating to lifting equipment
- Complete mastery of inspection procedures and training methodologies with the ability to select suitable approaches
- Practical experience includes:
- Evaluating and validating inspection protocols and training content
- Supervision of trainers and managing training execution
- Reviewing inspection discrepancies and sanctioning corrective measures
- Spotting business development prospects and liaising with internal teams
- Conducting superior technical training sessions
- Strong competencies in:
- Technical report compilation
- Computer software usage
- Proficient English communication; Arabic proficiency is advantageous
Additional Certifications and Qualifications
- QatarEnergy Certified Inspector
- At least 3 years post-LEEA Level 3 experience in inspection and certification
- QatarEnergy Approved Trainer
- Minimum of 3 years in lifting sector instructional roles
- Completion of a globally recognized Train-the-Trainer course
Discipline-Specific Knowledge
- LEEA Disciplines including qualifications like Part 1 Entrance, Lifting Gear General, Lifting Machines Manual and Power
- Experience inspecting various lifting equipment; preference for third-party inspection background
- Electrical Discipline expertise:
- Familiar with BS 7671 – 17th Edition and BS 2381 standards
- Strong practical knowledge of electrical safety and inspection protocols
- Elevator Discipline awareness:
- Proficient in EN 81, EN 115, and BS 2830 standards
- At least 5 years of elevator in-service inspection is a plus
- Pressure Discipline competence:
- Deep knowledge of PED, EN 764, EN 12959, EN 12953, EN 14570, API 510
- At least 7 years inspecting pressure vessels and boilers

- Hazardous Areas Certification (Zone II)
