Job Overview
This position involves delivering top-tier pest control services to residential clients. Key responsibilities include inspecting properties for pest issues, identifying infestations, applying treatments such as pesticides and traps, and advising customers on prevention strategies. Safety compliance and effective communication are essential throughout all tasks.
Key Duties
- Perform detailed inspections to locate signs of pests, damages, and access points.
- Use approved pest control products safely and effectively to eliminate pests.
- Offer customers guidance on preventing future pest problems.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships, manage scheduling and appointments, assist with sales, and help to grow the customer base.
- Maintain pest control equipment and supplies in proper condition.
- Follow all applicable laws and safety regulations for pest control operations.
- Drive and operate company vehicles responsibly, with maintenance support provided.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Work in confined areas such as basements, attics, and crawl spaces.
- Exposure to animals, insects, chemicals, mechanical parts, electrical currents, heights, fumes, and dust with proper training and safety protocols.
- Work outdoors or indoors in various weather conditions using provided protective clothing.
- Perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using ladders and scaffolding.
- Wear necessary personal protective equipment like OSHA-compliant respirators.
Qualifications
- Clean-shaven face to accommodate safety respirators.
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent education and experience.
- Valid driver's license from the applicant's state of residence.
- Required federal, state, or local pest control licenses and certificates (company-provided).
- Availability to work Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to learn and develop expertise in pest control.
- Strong reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Basic math skills to follow mixing instructions on product labels.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
