About the Role
Join a London-based established technology-focused trading firm as an Infrastructure Software Developer specializing in Python. This role involves developing the software that powers and automates the firm's infrastructure, working within a small, collaborative engineering team committed to solving infrastructure challenges through software.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and own internal infrastructure software and tooling primarily using Python.
- Design and implement infrastructure-as-code frameworks deployed across the entire infrastructure estate.
- Automate processes including deployment, patching, and configuration management.
- Develop tools to enhance system monitoring, observability, and reliability.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proficient and current professional experience in Python with strong software engineering practices such as thorough testing, code reviews, version control, and clean code architecture.
- Extensive practical knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Proven success in creating software that effectively automates infrastructure operations on a large scale.
- Solid grounding in networking concepts and security principles.
- A well-defined perspective on the design and engineering of modern infrastructure.
