Job description
Role Overview
We seek a skilled Infrastructure and IT Operations Manager to oversee the reliable, secure, and high-availability technology environment and support digital and cloud transformation projects. The role encompasses both on-premises and cloud infrastructure, network management, Microsoft 365, identity services, monitoring, backup and disaster recovery, and IT service management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, operate, and enhance data centers, servers, storage, virtualization, and on-premises infrastructure to ensure continuous availability and readiness.
- Administer and support cloud and hybrid environments such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), facilitating cloud migration and cloud-native technology initiatives.
- Oversee Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, identity services, SSO, and handle domain, account, and device migrations.
- Operate and optimize network connectivity including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VLAN, and Internet; support VPN, Proxy, ZTNA, NAC, and SD-WAN technologies in collaboration with cybersecurity teams.
- Continuously monitor infrastructure availability, capacity, and performance with tools like PRTG or equivalent, addressing any performance or capacity challenges.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery processes, conduct restore tests and DR drills, ensuring compliance with RTO and RPO requirements.
- Handle incident, problem, and change management using ITIL-aligned ITSM systems, performing root cause analyses and initiating preventive measures.
- Implement patches, security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance mandates in partnership with cybersecurity.
- Provide necessary infrastructure, integration, and readiness for ERP systems, enterprise applications, digital platforms, and API connectivity.
- Drive operational improvements through task automation and infrastructure-as-code practices where applicable.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers, monitor SLAs, and review technical solutions and deliverables.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including infrastructure and network diagrams, CMDB, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Participate in digital transformation, cloud modernization, identity, and networking projects ensuring smooth transition into live operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Proven practical experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud environments, networking, and IT operations.
- Strong expertise with Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, virtualization technologies, networking, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Good understanding of ITIL best practices, ITSM, and incident, problem, and change management procedures.
- Advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, automation, documentation, vendor engagement, and SLA management skills.
- Certifications such as Microsoft, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, Cisco, ITIL, or Veeam are considered a plus.
