Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect with 12-15 years in IT, focusing largely on infrastructure and enterprise architecture within large, complex organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background designing and managing hybrid cloud environments, data centers, modern workplace solutions, enterprise networking, and infrastructure operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture design efforts involving hybrid cloud, data centers, modern workplace strategies, enterprise networks, platform engineering, and infrastructure management.
- Develop scalable, available, performant, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure architectures while clearly articulating trade-offs.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, offering consultation, facilitation, and clear documentation and presentations to senior technical and business leadership.
- Manage IT service management processes aligned with ITIL, including transition planning, operational readiness, capacity planning, and ongoing service enhancement.
Requirements and Expertise
- Comprehensive experience with leading cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficient with virtualization technologies, container platforms such as Kubernetes, enterprise networking including SD-WAN, and workplace technology ecosystems.
- Demonstrated understanding of microservices infrastructure patterns, DevSecOps practices, APIs, cloud-native operational methods, and site reliability engineering principles.
- Working knowledge of IT security architecture and control frameworks, without necessitating in-depth cybersecurity specialization.
- Exceptional communication skills to influence and engage with senior-level stakeholders effectively.
