Information Technology Project Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead the comprehensive delivery of complex technology initiatives within the banking and financial services sector. This position is based in Doha, Qatar, and requires a deep understanding of project governance, stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, and regulatory adherence in international or multi-country settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of IT project execution, ensuring management of scope, timelines, budgets, risks, resources, and delivery quality.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with internal teams, external vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers.
• Implement strong governance processes involving senior leadership, business sponsors, and technology departments.
• Navigate complex regulatory environments relevant to the financial sector and banking industry.

Mandatory Requirements

• PMP certification is compulsory.
• At least 7 years of direct project management experience involving responsibility for scope, scheduling, budgeting, risk mitigation, resource coordination, stakeholder management, vendor relations, and successful delivery.
• Proven track record delivering IT projects specifically in financial services, preferably within banking.
• Experienced in handling medium to large-scale IT initiatives within banking or financial services contexts.
• Demonstrated capability in managing projects across multi-national, regional, or international environments.
• Competency in various project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches.
• Experience collaborating with senior management, business sponsors, and diverse technology teams within formal governance frameworks.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields is required.
• PMP certification is mandatory for this role.
• Additional certifications such as PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, ITIL, COBIT, or PMI-ACP are advantageous.
