Overview

As a Security Engineer specializing in Threat and Vulnerability Detection platforms, you will play a crucial role in deploying and managing enterprise-wide security infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and integrate Threat and Vulnerability Detection technologies across the enterprise with platforms such as Tenable.
- Manage and enforce security controls to protect infrastructure, systems, and sensitive data.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and compliance audits aligned with federal regulations like FedRAMP and NIST.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to gather security requirements and create effective solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive security documentation including policies and operational procedures.
- Keep updated on the latest threats and security technologies to recommend continuous enhancements.
- Analyze and validate scan results, delivering reports to stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior security engineers and team members.
- Abide by company policies and adapt to changes in location, teams, work shifts, and work arrangements as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED minimum, with preference for B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization.
- At least 4 years of practical experience managing and using Tenable VM software and infrastructure.
- Proven track record in vulnerability remediation on Tenable platforms.
- Experience responding to scan requests, investigating false positives, and assessing vulnerability risks.
- Ability to analyze scan outcomes including potential, successful, and unsuccessful results.
- Familiarity with cloud service provider security concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking, Windows, and Linux OS administration.
- Skills in scripting, automation, and AI integration to improve security processes.
