About the Role

Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive Information Management Coordinator to provide strategic oversight and governance for the Council's information management, privacy, and data governance functions. You will manage the operational delivery of records and information management services by leading the Information Officer and Information Systems Officer roles.
Your leadership will uphold records governance frameworks, ensure compliance with legislative mandates, and champion best practices. You will also spearhead data governance initiatives, business intelligence projects, and foster organizational capacity to enhance data quality, reporting systems, and decision-making processes across the council.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
Applicants should possess at least a Diploma in Records Management or a related discipline, accompanied by a minimum of five years recent and relevant experience in information or related management fields.
- Proven expertise leading enterprise-wide information management, including records governance, privacy, compliance, data governance, and reporting.
- Experience in establishing robust data governance frameworks, including aspects such as data stewardship, metadata management, authoritative data sources, business intelligence, KPI definition, and delivering reliable reports.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities to promote compliance, build organizational capabilities, conduct training, and simplify complex data concepts.
Compensation and Employment Terms
This is a permanent, full-time role with a 35-hour work week. The starting total remuneration package is $122,158.40 gross per year, including:
- A base salary of $2,097.50 per week
- Superannuation contributions of $251.70 per week (12%)
