Job Description

As an Industrial Millwright Mechanic 433A at the Niagara Falls plant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining plant machinery and equipment. Your responsibilities will cover planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance with the goal of ensuring operational reliability and efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing setting focused on cereal production.

Main Responsibilities

• Address routine machinery breakdowns and repairs promptly.
• Maintain high reliability across factory operations through quality routine machine and plant upkeep.
• Optimize machine performance by consistent and effective production machine setup.
• Support engineering-related activities to improve manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, adhering to company engineering standards.
• Achieve and track maintenance KPIs, providing visibility into maintenance performance and identifying improvement needs for the site.

Qualifications

• Valid Millwright Certificate of Qualification 433A is mandatory.
• Experience in a food processing manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with 5+ years of mechanical skills including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting expertise.
• Background in preventive maintenance, including developing PM plans, is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Self-motivated team player who embraces new technology, works with urgency, and pays close attention to detail.
• Holding a 4th class power engineer ticket is an asset.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 45 pounds regularly.
• Capable of climbing stairs, ladders, and working at elevated heights.
• Frequent bending, twisting of the back, and overhead work are expected.

Work Conditions & Compensation

• Rotating 8-hour shifts including midnights, afternoons, and days with a 40-hour workweek.
• Competitive hourly wage at $42.70 with premiums for afternoon and midnight shifts.
