Incident Response Oversight Expert

Position Overview

We seek a seasoned senior leader specializing in incident response to oversee and direct significant cyber incident management activities. This role demands profound expertise in leading response teams, coordinating recovery efforts, and enhancing cyber resilience at an enterprise or national level. It is a leadership position focused on supervision and strategic oversight rather than hands-on SOC analyst duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead major Cyber Incident Response and CSIRT engagements with seasoned oversight.
• Oversee and provide quality assurance to incident response teams and their analysts.
• Coordinate containment and recovery efforts during significant cyber incidents.
• Develop and govern Incident Response plans, playbooks, and associated governance frameworks.
• Manage cyber crisis situations while effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders.
• Organize and conduct tabletop exercises, workshops, and cyber drills to ensure preparedness.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of Incident Response frameworks, standards, and relevant regulations.
• Conduct thorough post-incident reviews and supervise remediation processes.
• Demonstrate strong capabilities in project and program management within cybersecurity contexts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 12 years' demonstrated experience in managing and personally leading significant cyber incidents.
• Bachelor's degree is required; possession of a Master's degree is preferred.
• Hold at least two relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCTI, GX-IH, GX-CS, GSLC, GSTRT, GSNA, GISP, or ISO 27035 Lead Incident Manager.
